How this one is built
Built to order from a new sealed LEGO® Technic Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 5023 with Crane. We test the steering, the suspension and the crane's rotation, lift, extension and hook before packing. The crane boom is the vulnerable part, so it ships as a fragile parcel in cut foam with the boom folded down. Spot-gluing fixes the cab and the body panels and leaves the steering, suspension and crane working. Fits the Tabletop case in Medium.
What is in the parcel
- The built set, posed and checked
- Spare parts, bagged and labelled
- The original instructions and the flattened box
- A bench card: who built it, when, glued or not, and how many spares

Care notes
- Dust with a soft, dry make-up brush, or compressed air held well back.
- Keep it out of direct sun: white and light grey bricks yellow over the years.
- Lift it by the base or the heaviest part, never by a tower, wing or stem.
